The Planeta family’s hospitality in Noto is unique, with the distinctive style of their Case Sparse, dwellings nestled among the vineyards of the Buonivini estate. These accommodation embody the family’s distinctive approach to hospitality, which focuses on sustainability and an informal, nature-conscious atmosphere. From day one, the project sought to reflect these values, from the furniture curated by Costanza Algranti, who breathed new life into disused materials, creating new, functional and comfortable objects that tell stories and help create a unique experience for guests.

The restored Palmento is a special place within the Planeta Estates, where you can relive the history and winemaking tradition of Sicily. The visible vats where grape crushing and must fermentation took place offer an authentic and evocative atmosphere. This space, immersed in the beauty of the Sicilian countryside, is perfect for guided tastings of Planeta wines, allowing guests to discover the flavors and nuances of local wines, including Nero d’Avola, Moscato and the oenological identity of the Noto DOC.

The Planeta family

The Planeta family history has been strongly linked to agriculture and hospitality for seventeen generations.
In 1998, the Planeta family settled in Noto, specifically in the district of Buonivini, an area historically associated with the production of quality wines. Here, they cultivated a desire to take full advantage of the region’s winemaking potential, focusing in particular on Nero d’Avola, an indigenous Sicilian grape variety.

Planeta’s wine shop in Noto is a large, and welcoming space that offers the opportunity to explore the different wines produced by Planeta, not only at the Buonivini estate but also at those in Menfi, Vittoria, Etna and Capo Milazzo. Here, guests can participate in tastings and guided tours to discover the different nuances of Planeta wines and take a food and wine journey through Sicily.
